Terms of Use

The practical rules for using Clarity, the interview-practice app.

Last updated 20 October 2026

Draft for review This page is waiting for final approval and may change before Clarity Admissions launches.

The short version

  • Clarity is a practice tool. It does not guarantee an interview, an offer or any result.
  • AI feedback and the interviewer’s replies can be wrong. Use your own judgement.
  • You must be 13 or older to use Clarity.
  • Plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel future renewals at any time.
  • Live interviews have a fair-use limit of 5 hours a month. Please do not abuse, bypass or reverse engineer the service.

About these terms

These terms apply when you use Clarity on iPhone, on the web at app.clarityadmissions.co.uk, and on clarityadmissions.co.uk. Clarity is provided by Clarity Admissions; our full details are in our Privacy Policy. By using Clarity, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

Who can use Clarity

You must be at least 13 years old to use Clarity. If you are under 18, you need the permission of a parent or guardian to buy a plan, and many students ask a parent to pay (see “When a parent pays” below).

Your account

On iPhone an account is optional; on the web you need one to practise, and to buy a plan. You sign in with a code sent to your email, or with Sign in with Apple. An account is for one person: please do not share it. Keep access to your email secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in.

A practice tool, not advice

Clarity is an interview-practice tool. It is not admissions advice, medical care, speech therapy or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional.

Clarity is not affiliated with any university, medical school or dental school, and its stations, questions and cases are original practice material. Clarity does not guarantee an interview, a place, an offer or any other educational or professional result, and it cannot predict how a real interview will go.

AI can get it wrong

Transcripts, scores, feedback and the interviewer’s replies are produced automatically and can be incomplete or wrong, especially with background noise, accents or a weak connection. Use your own judgement before relying on them. Live interviews use practice scenarios with an AI interviewer, not a real person. Please do not share sensitive personal information in them.

Plans and prices

Clarity needs a paid plan for its live interviews, mocks, stations, cases and feedback. There is no free trial. On the web there are two plans:

  • Monthly: £119.99 a month.
  • Interview Pass: £339.99 every 6 months.

Prices are in pounds sterling and are the full amount you pay. Both plans include the same features, including up to 5 hours of live interviews a month (see Fair use).

Clarity + Mentors is not on sale yet. You can join its waitlist, and we will only use your email to tell you when it opens. Joining the waitlist is not a purchase and does not commit you to anything.

On the web, payments are taken by Stripe. On iPhone, plans are sold through Apple’s App Store and billed to your Apple ID, with the price shown in the app before you buy.

Renewal

Your plan renews automatically at the end of each period (each month for Monthly, every 6 months for the Interview Pass) and you are charged the plan’s price each time, until you cancel. If the price is going to change, we will tell you before your next renewal, and you can cancel before the new price applies.

Cancelling

You can cancel future renewals at any time. Cancelling stops the next charge, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

  • Bought on the web: in the web app, go to You, then Manage subscription, which opens Stripe’s secure page. You can also use the link in Stripe’s email receipt.
  • Paid for by a parent: the parent manages or cancels it from the link in Stripe’s email, or can email us and we’ll cancel it for you.
  • Bought in the App Store: in your iPhone’s Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Your 14-day right to cancel

When you buy on the web, access starts straight away. Before you pay, Stripe’s checkout asks you to confirm:

“I want access to start now. I understand I lose my 14-day right to cancel once it does, and that I can still cancel future renewals at any time.”

This means that once your access has started, you no longer have the 14-day right to cancel and get your money back that UK consumer law otherwise gives for online purchases. You can still cancel future renewals at any time, as above. Nothing here affects your other legal rights, for example if Clarity is faulty or not as described. App Store purchases follow Apple’s refund rules, which you can use at reportaproblem.apple.com.

When a parent pays

From the web app, a student can send a parent, or anyone they choose, a link to pay for their plan. The person who pays is the paying customer for that plan and agrees to these terms when they pay. The plan belongs to the student’s account: it gives the student access, not the payer. The payer manages or cancels it from the link in Stripe’s email, or can email us and we’ll cancel it for you. It keeps working until the end of the period already paid for.

A link works for 14 days. Checkout is refused once the student’s account already has a plan, so no one pays twice. If two people pay at the same time, we cancel and refund the second payment automatically. If someone pays after the account has been deleted, we cancel and refund that payment too. If the student deletes their account, a plan paid for by a parent is cancelled straight away.

Fair use

To keep voice features sustainable for everyone, plans include up to 5 hours of live interviews a month, and some other voice features have a daily limit. When you reach a limit, those features may be unavailable until it resets. Unused time does not carry over.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app at any time: go to You, then Delete account. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. It ends a plan held on the account (a Monthly plan or Interview Pass bought on the web, or one a parent paid for) straight away, with no further charges. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription: cancel that in your iPhone’s Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions.

Acceptable use

Please use Clarity fairly and lawfully. You must not:

  • abuse, harass or threaten anyone, or use Clarity to create unlawful or harmful content
  • share your account, or try to bypass usage limits, plans or other restrictions, for example by automating requests or resetting identifiers
  • reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract Clarity’s source code, except where the law allows it
  • interfere with or overload the service, or try to gain unauthorised access to it or to anyone’s account or payment links
  • copy or resell Clarity’s questions, stations or other content
  • use Clarity to violate another person’s rights

App Store purchases

If you downloaded Clarity from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula) also applies, alongside these terms.

Our content and yours

Clarity’s software, design, questions, stations and other original content belong to us and are protected by intellectual-property law. You may use them for your own practice. You are responsible for the recordings you choose to make and for using Clarity lawfully.

Availability

We may change, suspend or discontinue features to maintain, secure or improve the service. We do not promise uninterrupted availability. If we make a change that significantly reduces what you have paid for, we will tell you, and you can cancel.

Our responsibility to you

If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result of that. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for any business losses, because Clarity is for personal use. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

Ending use

You can stop using Clarity at any time, erase your practice in the app, and delete your account. We may restrict or end access where these terms are seriously broken, for example abuse of the service or of other people.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page and tell you about important changes before they take effect. If you do not agree to a change, you can cancel before it applies to you.
